RonPARSONSOn Wednesday 9th November 2022, peacefully in hospital and of Manchester Road, Accrington formerly of Clayton le Moors, Ron aged 88 years. Dear husband of the late Eileen Parsons, special dad to Catrina and Roberta and a dear grandad of Kit and Ben. Ron was a popular saxophonist with many bands and also The 'Mr. Fix-it' of the area who will be sadly missed by many. A funeral service and committal will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday 23rd November 2022 at 11.00 a.m. No flowers by special request but donations in his memory may be made to the Macmillan Cancer Support c/o Darwen Funeral Service 59/61 Blackburn Road, Darwen. Ron was my dad’s dear friend. Frank Smith, who died in June last year (2021) stayed in contact with Ron for many decades, even after he could no longer travel. They both loved music, science and storytelling. As Ron’s daughter, Catriona, said, it’s lovely to think of them somewhere together having a really good catch up!
