JoanOLCZYKDied peacefully on 28th December 2024 aged 95. Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church. Beloved wife of the late Zygmunt, much loved mum of Maria and Michael. Family would like to thank Alexander Care Home for their care and support of Joan. Funeral Mass will take place at St Marie’s Church on Thursday 23rd January at 9.30am followed by committal at Radcliffe Crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations welcome for British Red Cross care of the Funeral Director or the link below. I'm greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Joan. Mother of my oldest friend. I spent so much time in Joan and Zygmunts home. It was like having a second family. I never heard Joan utter a single bad word about anybody. The time we all spent as members of St Marie's amateur dramatics group were such a blast. I still picture her playing the part of Diamond Lil in 'Bad day at black frog creek' at Bury Derby Hall. She will be a much missed Lady I can quite easily call my friend. Rest in peace Lil. Xx
