BarryNOONMr Barry Noon, of Tong Lane, Bacup, died in Burnley General Hospital on Thursday, April 4, aged 87 years.
Born in Bacup where he lived all of his life, Barry was employed as a miner at Deerplay Colliery and also worked as a grave digger for Rossendale Borough Council, Whitworth Quarry and Bacup swimming baths. He enjoyed gardening, decorating, brewing his own beer and socialising in the George and Dragon in Bacup.
He was married for over 60 years to his late wife Doreen. He leaves daughters Janet and Carol, grandchildren Carmen, Josie, Stephen, Jenny and Alison, 16 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Emily, brother Donald, nephews, nieces and many friends.
A service and cremation will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Monday, April 22 at 10.45am, conducted by Ms Gemma Rooke. Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd, Bacup.
