Just found out about the sad passing of Keith, who was Mr Football not just for Coventry Schools but also for all youngsters and promising Coventry City footballers. I was fortunate enough to not just play for Coventry Schools but also coach between the years 2001-2005 and Keith was always an honourable and knowledgeable footballing person who was always available for both players and coaches alike. He will be sorely missed by every former Coventry Schools/Coventry City Academy player along with the numerous pupils he taught. Jim Sweeney & Family

Keith was a man of integrity whom I respected enormously - His wealth of knowledge and support was always there to support me throughout our friendship that lasted over so many years.

Keith was a stalwart of schools’ football for many years in both Coventry, the West Midlands and the old Birmingham & District CSFA.
He was Chair of the Coventry Association for many years. Keith was Chair of the West Midlands from 1980-1982

He became President of the West Midlands Association in 2013 following on from Ken Jones. His commitment, wise counsel, knowledge
and kindness were valued by me personally and also by colleagues on the West Midlands Council.

He will be sorely missed not only by his wife Val, and his family but also by those of us in Coventry and West Midlands
who had the privilege of knowing him and sharing our involvement in football with him

Am so sorry for your loss. Have fond memories of Keith from teaching together at Ullathorne School. Always smiling and a good sens of humour. May he rest in peace.
