I did not get the pleasure to work with Freda before she retired at the University of Liverpool Guild of Students, I arrived just after, but met her many times when she visited her daughter Marie, a good friend and colleague of mine for many years, along with her other daughter Debbie.

Frieda always struck me as non-nonsense person, who had a kind heart, was strong-willed and who told it as it was. I spent many times in her company, having a cup of tea and a chat with the girls in the cloakroom. She was always good company and I will remember her with great fondness,
particularly her laugh and her warm smile.

My deepest sympathies to Marie, Debbie and the rest of Freda’s family. Freda was one of those people who left a lasting impression on you and she will never be forgotten.
