Ann MargaretMURPHYIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Margaret Murphy (known as Margaret), aged 76 years,
late of Whitewell Road, Accrington.
Margaret was the youngest daughter of Owen and Beatrice Murphy and sister of the late Maureen, also a loving auntie to David and Brenda and the late Sean.
Privately educated at Miss Schofield’s Junior School in Accrington, she continued her education at Paddock House R.C. Grammar School for Girls in Oswaldtwistle. After leaving school Margaret attended Endsleigh Teacher Training College. She started her teaching career at St Oswald’s Infant and Junior School in Accrington. Margaret continued teaching for many happy years with the British Forces in many countries, before returning to Accrington, continuing her career at St Mary’s R.C. School, Clayton-le Moors and later as a supply teacher until her retirement.
She was a proud member of MENSA. Special thanks to Brenda and David Coonan and family for their continued loving care, especially over the past 16 months.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Margaret on Monday, March 31 at 10.15am at
St Joseph’s R.C. Church, Belgarth Road, Accrington, followed by burial at Accrington Cemetery at 11.15am.
