StephenMURPHY(West Montague) Peacefully in Marie Curie Hospice following a brave battle with cancer on Saturday 3rd September 2022, aged 60 years, Steve. Adored husband and best friend of Colleen, devoted brother to Peter and wife Christine. Much loved Father to Stephen and father-in-Law to Jordon, Alan, Neil, Demi and Faye. Loving Pops to Robson, Ellis and Jessica. Steve will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 14th September at 2:00 pm. Family flowers only please, a retiring collection will be taken at the end of the service in aid of the Marie Curie Hospice. All welcome to join us after the service at The Denton for refreshments. Thank you to everyone for their generous donations in memory of Steve Murphy. The staff at Marie Curie took wonderful care of Steve and the family during his stay with them. Words cannot express our thanks. Steve will always be in our hearts, always loved and missed forever.

Hi , gutted to hear of Steve's death.
we were old school mates and beyond.
Tried to see him in hospital, after hearing he was ill but did not match protocol, due to not knowing his date of birth.
will be sadly missed.
It feels like I have lost a big chunk of my life
Genuinely was a good man, with a good sense of humour.

Hi , Brian here, Steve's old school mate. Was gutted to hear of Stephen's death. We were old school mates and beyond Tried to see him in hospital a few weeks before he died, after hearing he was ill, but I didn't pass their protocol because I did not know his date of birth.. Did'nt know he was so ill at the time. It feels like a big chunk out of my life, knowing I will never see him again. He was genuinley a good man.
