Funeral service to be held on Wednesday 4th July 2012 at St Justus Roman Catholic Church at 10.00am, followed by burial at Paddock Wood Cemetery. All welcome. I was touched by the exemplary care, friendliness, and decency Mr. Murphy showed to passengers graced by his presence at East Farleigh station. His was an uncommon and noble breed!

I watched the old BBC videos of Spud when he worked at East Farleigh train station, he started there before I was even born! What an absolute gentleman and scholar! If only we had more Spud’s around today. God bless you Mr. Murphy and Merry Christmas!
