ElizabethMONAGHANIn loving memory of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Monaghan, born August 6, 1932, passed away Wednesday, January 19, after a short illness, aged 89, surrounded by her family. Betty was married to David Monaghan for 56 years until his passing in 2013. She leaves a daughter Linda, son Gary, daughter-in-law Joanne, grandchildren Jordan, Brittany, Nicholas, Christian, and great grandchildren Logan and Luca. Betty was well known in Haslingden as the owner of Liza’s Dress Shop throughout the 80s, and a regular member of St Peter’s congregation. The service will take place at St Peter’s Church, Haslingden at 1.15pm on Wednesday, February 2, followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery. Family flowers only please or donations are being received for Stroke Association, c/o funeral director Alderson and Horan Funeral Service, Crawshawbooth.
