Brother Balano (Alan) It was a great honour to work with you for 14 now very precious years, your humour and in particular your ideas about subjects sometimes left me in stitches or bewilderment ! I will never forget the banter especially about football, your dislike of Leicester City which we all know was a mask ! I keep looking at our Message banter expecting another message to appear but sadly it stops I will cherish those messages. I have decided to adopt Argyll as my second Team, so will watch out for them in the coming years, it is true that we all take things for granted in life and then it’s gone RIP Brother will miss you from this day on ! Your friend Benzema xx

The napkin at the lord Louis, getting Phillip to order ur pizzas and ur funny derby accent!! We are so shocked and so saddened but as my little Esme keeps telling me, we have to be grateful for the fun times we had with you. It's 8 years since I worked in the Control and was completely shocked when Simon advised me about Alan's passing.
It doesn't seem 5 minutes when I first met him but it's well over 20 years
since he departed Plymouth and headed north.
But still loved the Green Army ⚽️

We had some great laughs and times in the Control, I can still see Al sat at Controllers desk pontficating about football and numerous other subjects
It's a very sad time for Alan's family and friends I know he will be greatly missed.

A friend in spirit, indeed. Let us remember you as you were in life.

God Bless You Minnie thanks for the laughs we had.

Tony (aka Larry the Loafer) the name Alan gave to me and I still use it
