I was very sorry to learn of the passing of John Millar who with his second wife Beverly were dear friends of my parents and to me but I never took the opportunity to convey that message to them.
John was a dear friend of my Father (Cyril Smith) and supported him when my mother sadly passed for which I'll always be grateful for his companionship in such difficult circumstances. I will remember John dancing around our lounge whilst listening to Michael Jackson!
I'm sorry for not coming to the wake as I thought it would be inappropriate to barge into a family event having not seen any the family for over 25 years. In hindsight this was a mistake as I would have liked to have caught up properly.
I have fond memories of John and his family.
Sending you all my love,
Paul Smith
