Some thirty years ago a stranger came and stood alongside me on the North Bank, chattering away. It was Ken. We became good friends; enjoying, and suffering, the ups and downs of our beloved Swans, together with Glamorgan CCC. We frequently travelled together, until his ill health intervened. He will be sorely missed, as his friends continue to watch the football and cricket, but the atmosphere and ambience will never be the same.

Ken was my seat neighbour at the Swans for years, and before that on the North Bank. Also a regular watching Glamorgan. I shall miss his company, his kind interest in my family, and his gloomy commentary on the football. Sport and Swansea in general were his passions and he was an encyclopedia on both.
