DoreenMCLOUGHLINDoreen McLoughlin, of Holme Manor, formerly of Naze Court, died on Saturday, January 16, aged 86. Prior to retirement she worked at Crestmoor Children’s Home, and in her younger years was a bookkeeper and worked at various offices in the Valley. She enjoyed swimming when she was young, knitting, enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren, crosswords, reading, and travel. She leaves sons John and Peter, daughter Pat, grandchildren Rebecca, Lucy, Ben, Rachel, Chelsey, Sophie, and Hannah, 11 great-grandsons, and daughters-in-law Sue and Louise. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 27, at 12.20pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Neil Overton. Family flowers only please; donations if desired to Alzheimer’s Research.
