Mum was first a nurse at a post war children’s hospital in the early days of the NHS and later trained and worked as a teacher here in Plymouth. She was a good teacher and coached many students who struggled with maths into an exam pass. In retirement she volunteered through the church at a toddlers group. She nursed several family members in their last years including my dad, her beloved husband Alec.

She led a good life and as a lifelong believer she had made her peace with her maker long before she was released from earthly toil. I just wanted to acknowledge my tremendous debt to her and the sacrifices she and my late father made to ensure we had the happiest of childhoods.

Heather McKenzie 3rd May 1933 until 12th December 2024. R.I.P.

An inspirational woman, with a very caring and compassionate nature. Always a pleasure to be around Heather and bask in the radiance she created. Sadly missed, but is now at rest in a better place 🤗.
Love and hugs to all her family.
