JasonMCCUNEMR Jason Mccune, also known as Grog, of St Pauls Court, Oswaldtwistle, aged 52, was found passed away at his home address on Thursday, October 17, from natural causes. Born on December 7, 1966, Jason was the only child of his recently deceased mother. He grew up in Accrington and attended St John's Primary School and St Christopher's Secondary School. He worked a number of jobs including a number of years at Accrington Dairies, a number of years as a PR in Tenerife and finally at Boohoo, Burnley as a shop floor operative. Jason was a keen sports fan and a talented pool and snooker player, he also enjoyed local football, his team being Burnley. Jason also enjoyed attending The Brave Church, Oswaldtwistle where he had a number of close friends. He was a well loved member of the local community and will be sadly missed by all of his friends and work colleagues. A service was held on Friday, November 1, at Brave Church Oswaldtwistle, followed by a cremation up at Accrington Crematorium. This was followed by a wake in celebration of Jason's life at Canine Working Men's Club, Accrington where there was food, music and a warm welcome to all of Jason's friends. Donations can be made towards a memorial fund to purchase a headstone for Jason.
