Really sad to hear this news of John's passing I’d known him since the age of 13, he and his brother had bikes and I would always pester him hanging around his garage in Portland drive, as I got older he would take me out on his bikes and would also go for a drink at the Bucksford, had many fond memories of him going to the odd grass track meetings and sand racing, he was a good friend to my family, sadly I hadn’t seen him for over ten years since he retired from the local Spar and moved to Hinckley ….
