Angela Matera (nee Hann) on 25th November, aged 68, following a short illness.

Beloved wife of Miguel, loving mother to Sophie, dearest daughter of the late Terry and Sylvia, sister to Martin, sister-in-law to Karen, aunt to Julia and Maddie and great-aunt to Amelia.

Angie made her home in Florida where her passion for teaching the English language touched the lives of so many students from all corners of the world. She will be fondly remembered.

A celebration of Angie’s life will be held on Thursday, 5th December at her home in Miami. Friends are encouraged to raise a glass or a prayer in tribute on that day.

I am utterly saddened. Angie has always been a wonderful massive ball of energy that lit up every room that she entered. She lived and loved life to the full, she was inspired , her laughter, smiles and enthusiasm were all infectious . She was such good company. She loved her students , she loved teaching.
Many a happy day has been started by the arrival of another great tune in my inbox., arriving overnight from Angies jukebox. I will miss her too much. My heart and thoughts are with you Miggi, Sophie and Martin. All my love to you. xxx 🙏😍
