Peacefully but suddenly at home aged 77 years.

Reunited with all his loved ones. Beloved husband of Pat. Devoted dad of Pat, Neill, Rachel (deceased) and Steven. Loving grandad and great-grandad to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, much loved father-in-law, brother, uncle, foster parent and friend who will be very sadly missed XXX

Funeral service and cremation will be held on Thursday 21st March 2024 at Greenacres, Rainford at 9.30am.

No flowers please but donations to Dementiauk.org.

Where to begin. . . Rodney Macfie meant so much to so many, he led a remarkable life. I have never heard anyone say a bad word about him.

I'll miss the joy he brought into all the lives around him.

He wasn't just a dad, a grandad, brother he was a father figure to so many children he looked after throughout the years. On behalf of us all we are heartbroken and send our condolences.

He was one of the kindest people I've ever met, I'll always have wonderful memories of our time together.

Heartfelt sympathy to Pat and all of Rod's family. I have many fond memories of Rod from Tower Hill, its Rent Strike and Community Centre, the founding of Kirkby Unemployed Centre, and the many great initiatives in which he took part. Though it's a long time since I was there, I've never forgotten his kind friendship.
