Brian was very much in my thoughts yesterday, given it was the day of his funeral, and I sat in silence in memory of him. I cast my mind back over fourty years, and clearly remember that when Brian drove for Cleveland Transit at South Bank, & indeed at other depots he had a Pen & Pencil clip attached to his Uniform Jacket lapel pocket, in which sat a pen & pencil, and top of the pencil was a rubber Kermit the Frog or Miss Piggy (I think), something like that, protective cover (Always a distraction, when trying to pay your bus fare). Just one of several memories I have of Brian over 40 odd years later, so his memory does & will continue to live on, as he will in the Hearts of his Family & Friends. Once again, Rest in Peace Brian

Today we say goodbye to you. I’m struggling to find the words to use for such a great man. You entered my life at a young age of 13 I believe. You became my step father shortly after. You became a friend for life when I became old enough to know what a real friend was. You shall be missed by me both as a dad and a friend. RIP Brian
