EdithLORDof Booth Road, Stacksteads, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 11, aged 101. She worked in clerical positions in Rossendale and then went into nursing at Manchester Infirmary, before leaving nursing once she married her late husband, Albert. Edith was a keen traveller, travelling all over Europe and the USA visiting family. She loved music, was a member of Rossendale Ladies Choir and Rossendale Golf Club and played the organ at Waterbarn Baptist Church. Wife of the late Albert, she leaves daughters Wendy, Helen and Mary, son Christopher, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great, greatgrandchild. The funeral was due to take place at 11am on Thursday, December 19, at Lumb Baptist Church, led by Peter Foulds, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm. Family flowers only.
