I wake up to a broken heart every
morning, and go to bed the same way.
My heart is crushed into tiny pieces,
and i can't put the pieces back together
so i can heal, i will always grieve for you
until i take my last dying breath.

They say grief fades with time.,
but it doesn't..it really doesn't,
it burrows itself down into the
core of who you are.
It shifts the way you see everything.
And grief is the teacher you never
asked for, but it shows you that you
can still live with a heart that's heavier
yet somehow still beats.

The day my child died,
I became somebody new,
A totally different person,
Someone i never knew.

I am not who i used to be,
I am definitely not the same,
The only thing that hasn't changed,
Is the spelling of my name.

I cry more than i ever did,
I break down quite a lot,
My heart hurts everyday,
The pain will never stop.

A mother gives a child life,
And love unlike no other,
When that is taken all away,
She then becomes a
Grieving Mother.
