RichardLIDSTONEalways known as Dick Long time proprietor of Gliddon & Squire Garden Machinery. Slipped away peacefully on 15th November 2017, at the North Devon District Hospital, after a brave fight against cancer, aged 65 years. Dearly loved partner of Jean. Also sadly leaving behind mother Margie, devoted brother of Chris, brother-in-law of Geraldine, nieces: Sophie, Aimee and Chloe and nephew, Harry. Funeral Service at the North Devon Crematorium, Thursday 30th November 2017 at 12.20pm and afterwards, all welcome at Portmore Golf Club. Family flowers only and no black ties please but donations, if desired to North Devon Cancer and Wellbeing Appeal, may be given at the Service or c/o W S Gayton & Son, Lauderdale, Bickington, Barnstaple EX31 2LB (always known as Dick)

So sorry to hear of the death of an old friend. Although we had lost touch after having moved to France 25 years ago Didk will always live in our memories. A very sad loss as another friend we both had in common David Ackland also died around the same time. I have fought cancer 3 times now and my darling wife Lynn once and we still going.
