RonaldLEYLANDFormerly of 10 Brookland Terrace, Cowpe, died peacefully at Hillview Care Home on Monday, October 3rd aged 90 years. Born in Bacup, Ronald worked in the Valley in the Textile Industry and then for Holland’s Pies as a driver for over 20 years. He was a keen swimmer, footballer and archer and was also in the Bacup Foresters. Roland also loved dancing with Sheila his wife for over 65 years. Having two sons, Paul and Nigel, he also regularly attended Cowpe Church. Husband of the late Sheila, father of the late Nigel he leaves his son Paul and his partner Sharon. His funeral is due to take place on Thursday, October 20th, Mr Damien Philips will conduct a Celebration of Life Service and Committal at Burnley Crematorium at 11.30am.
