Not a minute, an hour, a day goes by that I don’t miss and think of you Mum.
If writing could bring you back, I’d never put down the pen, I’d walk the earth a thousand times over, just to see you again.
I love you endlessly, in another lifetime we are the elephants you wrote about, and you’d stay with your children forever.
In another lifetime you get to be the nursery nurse you always wanted to be, we sing never ending David Essex songs, we watch mamma Mia, we drink endless tea, eat our body weight in biscuits and you’d never know pain, you’d be happy and free. We’d never have to be apart. You’d never doubt your worth, your abilities, your self. You would live in light and there wouldn’t be an ounce of darkness that could break through.
I am devoured by what should have been, for us all and I don’t think I’ll ever get over losing you so soon.
I’d do anything to give you one more hug, and a kiss on the forehead, to hear you laugh, to see you smile, to spend just one more moment with you.
I’m sorry the world failed you and we couldn’t put the pieces back together for you.
I love you endlessly ❤️.
