IreneLAINGof Palace Nursing Home, passed away on February 23, aged 83 years.
Irene worked at Hippings Methodist as a dinner lady, later in the school kitchen. She was also a homemaker and looked after her grandchildren. Irene enjoyed knitting, gardening, playing cards and dominos. She also enjoyed baking, socialising, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Wife to James, mother to Ray, Michael, Steven, mother in law to Jill, Tracey, Julie. Grandmother to Aimee, Georgia, Charles, Alex and great-grandmother to Henry.
A service will be held on Friday, March 8 at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm.
Family flowers only, donations to Alzheimer’s Society.
