Dear Mum,

I hope you had a lovely birthday.

Paul and I were in West Norwood- we had a couple in TGNW - met up with Matt and Clare. Then we went across to The Horns - remember the night we popped in having come back from a show... we didn't feel too comfortable in there did we!! We're heading back there for NYE - the last night of trading for the current landlady.

On the 10th it's all change... Paul and I are off to Broadstairs... can't wait to start on my garden... you'd love it, wish you could visit.

Two years without my wonderful Mum in the world.
A labour Britain once again... I doubt you'd of cared as I know you weren't a fan of Starmer!
I'm planning on moving to Broadstairs... finally going to get a garden! It's a key part of my requirements.
You'd be very impressed with my window boxes at my flat, particularly the pink petunias! Both Nic and I are trying our best to keep our plants and flowers going in your memory... we think we're doing OK, so thanks for the green genes!

Dear Mum,
Just thought I'd update you on a few things - really wish I could have a chat but I'm sure you're watching over me anyway!

So, countdown to The Maldives... Paul and I fly in 11 days... I can't quite believe it. So looking forward to some R&R. It will be strange going somewhere where you and Pops didn't venture to. I've heard the foods good and very much influenced by India... not that you'll like that! Got to make sure I don't pile on the lbs... managed to lose 1/2 stone - exercising and trying to eat well. Would you believe I've not had a drink for over a week now... not that I feel energised for that though.

Miss you everyday. Talk about you all the time. Recent reflections were about your crackling tips - cooked pork yesterday and mine was bang on. Stew - the fact you'd cook it at the same time as other meals and baking - how we used to make fairy cakes together when I was young.
