JohnKINSELLAQuietly slipped his moorings and sailed away peacefully on Friday 9 August 2019 aged 95. John is now reunited with his beloved wife, Marjorie. He was a much loved father, grandfather, great grandfather and good friend to all who knew him. A celebration of John's life will be held at Streetly Crematorium, West Chapel on Thursday 22 August at 10am. Crossing the Bar by Alfred Lord Tennyson Sunset and evening star and one clear call for me and may there be no moaning of the bar when I put out to sea. But such a tide as moving seems asleep, too full for sound and foam when that which drew from out of the boundless deep turns again home. Twilight and evening bell and after that the dark and may there be no sadness of farewell when I embark. For tho' from out our bourne of time and place the flood may bear me far, I hope to see my pilot face to face when I have cross'd the bar. He will be lovingly missed by his devoted family who are blessed that his love will always surround them, and they carry their memories of him safely in their hearts forever. Family flowers only with donations to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity.
