John NigelKEARNEYAt peace now, passed at home aged 68 years. Beloved partner and soul mate of Sue and a doting grandpa to India. End of life service will take place at Chanterlands Crematorium (small chapel) on Thursday 30th June at 12.00. Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received for give.leeds.ac.uk, 100% of your donation to Leeds University will fund vital research and award scholarships to exceptional individuals who may not otherwise have the chance of a university education. You had a massive influence on my career and taught me so much. I will always remember those days when I asked you a "science" question and you were happy to spend the afternoon explaining it to me.

As a kid, you were always Paul McCartney in my head. An awe struck cousin, you once told me 'you don't have to be clever to succeed', just work hard. You were clever and you did work hard, what an amazing career, everyone was so proud of you. Rest in peace Nige.!! Kate xx

Such a special, kind and gentle man who always had time for me and my children. The kids adored you John and were always so excited to spend time with you. Thank you for introducing them to the Beatles, we will treasure the memories of us all singing yellow submarine whilst you played your guitar ❤️ This will always make us smile and think of you. You are so missed and loved.
