Robert SIMON RuckleyJONESSimon passed away peacefully with his family around him on 27th November 2024.

Much loved husband of Kathy, adored father of Sam, Ben and Isabella, beloved son of Elisabeth and the late Ian, dear brother of Sarah and Andrew.

Simon will be missed by all his family and friends. His smile, humour and generosity will live on in all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service at St. Peter's Church, Newton on Monday 16th December at 1.00pm followed by committal at Swansea Crematorium at 3.00pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu if desired may be sent to Cancer Research Wales, 22 Neptune Court, Vanguard Way, Cardiff, CF24 5PJ or made via the online version of this notice at funeral-notices.co.uk

Sad to hear about Simon, I’ve got fond memories of chatting about music whenever I saw him, He used to make me CDs of bands he thought I’d like and drop them off when I taught the kids guitar, “You’ll love this band”, “and this one” etc I’ve still got them all, I’ll treasure them always, I’m sending love to the whole family

Great human being whom I had the pleasure of working with for many, many years, learned a lot from him and he was the kindest, funniest, most intelligent character I have ever met. Also a very strong physical man who was an excellent sportsman, taken way too early, rest in peace and be proud of the great legacy you leave behind to your wonderful family..

So sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful person who was always so welcoming to all of us when filled the house with teenagers! Always ready to make us laugh somehow when we said hello and goodbye
