Rest in Peace Peter.
I was lucky enough to see you in your prime, 40 years apart.
You gave me my first experience of high school Maths, and showed me how age had not diminished your enthusiasm for your vocation, even in your nineties.
What an incredible life, and an incredible man.

I was lucky enough to spend some time with Peter, albeit over 40 years apart.
He was my Maths teacher at Bishop Bright in my first year of high school, then much, much, later I had the pleasure of arranging a tour for him, around his own first high school, St. Joseph's.
The way he relished bouncing into a classroom at the age of 98, and enthusiastically telling the children how things were in his days of teaching, was absolutely glorious to watch.
When he pointed out the friends he had lost in the war to me, pictured on the walls of the school foyer amongst all the other school heirlooms, it brought a tear to my eye.
These many faces were no longer just anonymous shadows from the past.
What an incredible man, and an incredible life.
Rest in Peace Peter.

God bless you Peter. You became very dear to me during the time I knew you at Holy Trinity during Covid. I've only just realised that you were my maths teacher at St Thomas More! You got me through those exams in 1972. I wish I'd made the connection.

Maths was never my best subject but he was a patient and caring teacher. Fond memories of Bishop Brights. RIP
