Edgar GarthJONES25 July 2023. Peacefully at St David's Hospice, Llandudno and of the Bungalow, Abergele Road, Llanrwst, aged 82 years. Loving and loved husband to Averil, dear father to Kate, Siân, Seth and Adam, dear father in law to Ceris and Kate, and a much loved taid to Phoebe and Tegid. Fond brother to the late Rita. Funeral Friday 4 August 2023. Service at St Grwst Parish Church, Llanrwst at 11.15am followed by Committal at Colwyn Bay Crematorium at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please, but if desired, donations in memory of Edgar will be gratefully accepted towards The Llanrwst Junior and Senior Football Club and to the Conwy Valley Rotary Club. CIAT, all our members and affiliates, and the built environment sector have much to thank Edgar for his tireless work over the years to raise the standing, reputation and profile of Architectural Technology and our Institute. Without Edgar’s contribution, the discipline and profession of Architectural Technology would not have attained its current level of recognition both within the UK and internationally, which continues to grow in strength, value and impact today.
