A Father-in-law like no other!
Thank you for all the great memories, the laughter, the chats over endless cups of tea, the facts about the latest documentary that you had just watched and the endless jokes and stories that you loved to tell and we love to hear.
You and Sue created a wonderful family that I was honoured to join and with beautiful children and grandchildren who cherished you.
Do not worry those couple of little jobs I was hoping that you would do on your next visit to us will be completed by the next best person Dan and you have my word I will do my best to love and support him as he is doing for the rest of our family right now.
We were lucky to have you!
You truly were an incredible person, full of love, kindness and laughter. You will always be in our thoughts and our hearts.
Until we meet again
Love Carla x

Grampy Terry - there is just so much I wish I could say to you 🤍

You’re the absolute best Gramp and role model we could ever imagine! The most selfless, kind, thoughtful and considerate person ever.

I will cherish every single second I spent with you. Some of my favourite, most recent memories being - dropping you home after you looked after Rodney and Reggie for us. That drive dropping you home, just me and you chatting the whole way… even forgot your phone! There was always something you left behind.

Another one of my favourite memories is watching the Euro’s Final 2024 with you. Sitting in the living room together with a cup of tea and watching England score their goal - I’ve never seen you jump off the sofa so quickly!

To say we were blessed with you as a Gramp is an understatement. You were one of the main parts of my childhood - always taking us to the park, the pond to feed the ducks, blackberry picking, round the allotments stealing strawberries and all those bus journeys home from school together.

Taking me and Marcy to town to get a sweet after school, always to Poundland for your bounty for the bus journey home. Then our walk home from the bus stop where you would tell us your favourite joke everytime! “Come on tomato… ketchup”

I will always remember when you brought us home one evening and taught us how to play clock patience, and I still play it to this day!

I could write forever about all the memories we have and how much of an incredible person you were. You were one in a million.

Now, you can rest peacefully with unlimited Cider and cups of tea!
I hope you and Nanny Joan are looking after eachother - i miss you both every single day. Everything I do is for you 2.

I love you forever Gramp, thankyou for absolutely everything - Molly 🤍xxx

To the worlds best dad.. Me, Daniel and Donna were always going to all turn out to be loving and caring people… we were raised by the best, you and mum!! I literally have mind full of brilliant memories with you, from shoulder carries, loading the Commodore 64 whilst you made cuppa, nights out at Xmas delivering cards house to house hoping we’d have snow as I knew you’d be dragging me on the sledge. To playing darts, snooker, scalextric together and soo much more. Great times as a kid helping you do work on the house to being my work mate in building when we were grown up, and being my cider buddy 🍻, all round memories, just endless great memories that are engraved in me that will last forever and will make me continue to try and be just a little bit like you, as no one could be anywhere near as good as you! One of the best memories stored was our trips to the tip where paddy would keep all the bikes through the week and we’d walk down on weekend picking 2 bikes, 1 for me to ride home on and 1 you’d push home to fix for me whilst I rode round the garden on our home made bmx course, completely priceless in itself but the quality time of a father and son in them moments created a priceless memory I’ll always hold. You had a way of fixing absolutely anything that was broke, and if I was struggling to do or fix something and said ‘I can’t do it’ you’d always say ‘there’s no such word as can’t’.. just that one liner and always reassuring me when I struggled with anything growing up has made me driven to realise you can do anything if you don’t give up.
Of course I’d turn out to be a builder having you as my role model and always showing me how to make and fix stuff so I thank you for everything and carving my future. I can’t thank you enough for making me the man I am today. I love you forever dad. Thanks for just being you ❤️ my #1, Love Ben xxx
