3 years today dad,
The angels came a calling,
They had to take you home again
They could see that you was falling.
They welcomed you in with open arms
When we could only say goodbye
They opened up the pearly gates
When we could only cry.
And the tears they still fall dad
I doubt they'll ever dry
We lost a dad and grandad in a Million
We will never understand why.
We cherish all our memories
We live for yester year
We smile at all our happy times
That we still hold so dear.
You will never be forgotten dad
How could that ever be
Your as important now as you ever was
We hope that you all see.
Your loved so much that's for sure
And that will be forever

The boys keep growing up dad, forever guided by their childhood days shaped by you.
We love you grandad and miss you every day. Still trying to live life as you would want us to.

If only heaven had a telephone so we could chat once more,
And catch up on all the things that you have missed since you went away,
If heaven had a telephone we could bring you up to speed,
With the boys and their lives and tell you all the things we need.

Two years today we had to part, we didn't get a last goodbye, just the phone call to say you had passed away.
