DerwentJEFFERYPassed away peacefully at Wythenshawe Hospital on 26th August 2023 aged 94 years.

Derwent (known as Jeff) will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends. Devoted husband of the late Joan, father to Carol and Joanna and the late Lynne, Grandfather to Stefanie, Lindsey, Alexandria, Lucy and Andrew. Great-grandfather to Evelyn and Ryan. Brother to the late Margaret and Father-in-law to Barry, Tony and Mike. Loyal friend to many over the years.

Jeff left school aged 14 years and was employed by the Post Office and delivered telegrams during the 2nd World War. He then joined the Royal Navy and left there and is best remembered for being employed by Ford, Quicks Old Trafford, Cheadle and Northwich branches.

In his younger days, Jeff frequented many pubs and hostelries in the Manchester and surrounding areas. As he became older, also in the Altrincham and Hale areas.

Funeral service to take place at Altrincham Crematorium on Tuesday 10th October 2023 at 12.45pm. This will be a celebration of Jeff's life and if desired dark mourning clothing need not be worn.

Family flowers only please. Donations can be given to benefit RNLI.
