DorisIRVINGDoris, Sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother has sadly passed 09/04/2020. Wife/Widow of George Henry Irving, otherwise known as Maxi. Nan always worked very hard to ensure we had the best. She was a business woman in her younger days. She ran a B&B and had a bridal shop in London. She was a secretary/assistant and made a great contribution in her lifetime. She finally succumbed to dementia and she was happy enough in her later days where she resided. We spent many Summer days out and about and even while she had vascular dementia, we still communicated and joked. She was always making others laugh even when she had lost the ability to do many things for herself. She was very well loved, well regarded. She loved to meet people, and entertain and she was well known for throwing spectacular dinner parties, Birthday and Christmas parties and cooking/baking like her late mother Florence Edwards who was the Master Baker in Mexborough, where my Nan was born. Still driving in her 80's she had a busy life and never really stopped until the end. I hope that she is now happily reunited with her parents, husband, sisters and daughter Yvonne, who also passed away 3 weeks prior. Nan passed away of frailty of old age. Her cremation is on 12th May. May she rest in peace.
