Kath loved her family more than anything else in the world and they will all love and miss her forever xxx

A soul so pure, a heart so kind, A butterfly's essence, now enshrined, In every gentle flutter of wings, The beauty of your spirit sings. A beacon of hope, in times of despair, A loving presence, always there, The wind beneath our fragile wings, A melody of love, your memory brings. Through every storm, you held us near, In your cocoon, no need to fear, A great person, a soul so rare, A butterfly's touch, forever we'll wear

xxx

Funeral will take place on Thursday 3rd April at The Park Crematorium, Room 1 at 11am. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate the life of Kath at Plymouth Parkway, Manadon PL5 3JH after the service. All flowers welcome.

Auntie Kath
you were the joker and life & soul of all the family parties, your dance moves and sense of humour was amazing. We will always remember the good times and the holidays (Geoff's Tours), the sing songs at xmas with Dad and the Darts games (too which you always lost) but you were always a good sport.
You may be far away from us all but you will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Always in our hearts.
Thank you for all the amazing memories. Thank you for being you.
Lots of love Michael, Gary, Julie, Paul and all the family xx

My Mum and Kathleen had know each from when they were very young and became friends. When I was born Kathleen became my godmother… I loved when I stayed with my gran during holidays as I was allowed to visit Kevin and go to watch Argyle. I would catch the bus from Royal Parade out to Manadon… Kathleen would feed us pasties and send us off to Argyle making sure I would tell Kevin to eat his snack at half-time…

After I moved back from California I got in touch with Kathleen again and managed to visit her and had her down to St Buryan in December 2021.

I have many fond memories of her and how caring and loving she was. She was my Godmother and her love was precious and true I feel so blessed my godmother was you… so much love & gratitude 😊

Dear Nan,

I cannot say thank you enough for the love you have shown me throughout our time together on this plane, it will never cease to exist within me and I will hold and cherish it for the rest of my time here.

Thank you for the undeniable impact you have had on me. You have always taught me to be confident in myself and my talents while reminding me that my own solace should always come first. You showed me that it’s okay to live life by my own rules by staying true to my own compass, just like you have.

Thank you for being my nan, and in many ways a parent. Thank you for sharing your memories and stories, your honest struggles and great successes, reminding me that our lives are full of chaos, twist and turns but it’s how we navigate that chaos with resilience that ultimately shapes us.

Thank you for welcoming my partner Kyler into your life with never-ending respect for our love with open arms. Thank you for making us laugh with your incredibly humorous wit, for teaching us to follow our own path and to live life to its fullest capacity.

Thank you for sharing your passions for history, tailoring/textiles, gardening, baking and photography. Thank you for giving me access to share your archive of family photographs, letters, documents and newspaper cuttings that you curated and worked so passionately on with this world.

Your life has been an incredible work of art and its legacy will continue to live on through the many people you have touched with your determination to be courageous and to treat others with wholeheartedness.

Thank you for bringing me stillness, reassurance and stability in times of darkness and uncertainty, for listening to me, for supporting and believing in me and for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for everything you have given me, I will always remember your presence in my life as it has been extraordinary to have known you.

Until we dance together again, I love you eternally.

Your grandson, Josh
