HelenHUSSEYMrs Helen Hussey, of Meadoway, Church, died at home on Monday, October 26, aged 65. She had a husband John, daughters Virginia, Lorraine, Kira and the late Samantha, sons Mark and Dale, grandchildren Corey, Jade, Casey, Lucian, Matthew, Destiny, Logan, Kyson, Electra, Leo and Diesel, and great-grandchildren Harley, Kian and Amelia. In her younger years she worked as a carer in various homes in Accrington, as well as being a housewife and mother. She then studied hard at Blackburn College for five years and gained a diploma as a counsellor. She went on to volunteer at Maundy Grange for the late Dorothy McGregor, and counselled many adults and children, as well as making lots of new friends. Helen was very highly thought of. Helen loved her telly, and drinking cups of tea while watching the soaps and documentaries. Helen also liked to shop on Amazon, ordering things for family and friends. She also liked to read books on many subjects. Helen also started collecting dolls for a while. She liked to find new things to do. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 16, at 10.20am at The Chapel on Burnley Road, followed by committal at Dill Hall Cemetery at 11am. Family flowers only please, with donations if desired to Maundy Relief, online or care of Helen’s family. Helen’s family wish to thank Lisa & Elaine and everyone at Kirby & Hughes. They would also like to thank Doctor Suhail Kowariwala, of Peel House Medical Practice in Accrington, for looking after Helen for many years, making sure she was given the correct medication, treatment, and for coming out to visit Helen at home.
