Mair ElsbethHUGHESSadly, passed away on Sunday 15th December 2024 at University Hospital of Wales Cardiff in her 100th year. A much-loved mother to David and Michael Forever in our hearts and thoughts. Mair will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A lecturer for many years at The School of Home Economic, Llandaff and subsequently at University College Cardiff retiring in 1987. Funeral service on Tuesday 28th January 2025 11.00am at Park End Presbyterian Church, Llandennis Road, Cyncoed, Cardiff CF23 6EG followed by burial at Thornhill Northern Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired in the memory of Mair to Ty Hafan Children's Hospice via the much loved website www.muchloved.com Mair Elsbeth Hughes. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mair, please accept my sincere condolences from all of us here at Tŷ Hafan. Mair was a very special person and we can see from your Tribute page she was dearly loved by all of her family and friends. She will be missed. 

At Tŷ Hafan, the diagnosis of a life-shortening illness turns everyday life upside down for families, leaving them facing a future that is so different to the one they imagined. Your generosity means they can receive the care and support they need. Thanks to you, they can create a lifetime of memories in the time they have together, just like your memories of Mair. I hope that gives you some comfort during this sad time.
