He was our mate for 40+ years, not many people have that, and you wouldn’t have been if he didn’t want you to be. Too many good memories to mention. When we went out with him there seemed to be no-one he didn’t know. A power of recall on football matches that was almost supernatural. Always there with a joke, an anecdote and even pearls of wisdom and support when you needed it. We miss you Dave. Rest in peace. Carl, Dave, John, Mike.

Feels unreal to be writing this for you, what a gentleman in every meaning of that word funny, caring, patient, happy, thoughtful, loyal, and a family man to the core and not forgetting a True red… so brave taken to soon and to fast will be missed by so so many people your very sad auntie Marj and uncle Stu
