WilliamHOLTof Bankside Lane, Bacup, died on Thursday, December 19, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 80. He was a coal miner for 20 years and a Mixer Truck owner/driver in later years. He retired aged 73. In his youth he was interested in motorcycles/ cars and swam for Bacup Swimming Club as a boy. He was also a keen cyclist in his teenage years. In later life he enjoyed his caravan. Husband to Catherine, brother of Janet and Ronnie, father to Nicola and Ashley and grandfather to Harry, Finley, Riley and Joey. The funeral service, conducted by Revd David Brae, took place at Holy Trinity Church, Tunstead, on Thursday, January 9, followed by burial at Bacup Cemetery. Donations to Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue. Funeral director: Knight & Boys Funeral Service, 300 Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, Bacup.
