AnneHOLMESOn 6th January 2023 at Lindsey Hall Residential Home Cleethorpes, Anne aged 91 years sadly passed away. A well known musician, accomplished pianist, accompanist and piano teacher, experienced repertoire coach, acclaimed musical events organiser and Co-Chairman of the Organising Committee for the famous Great Grimsby International Competition for Singers. Anne will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Service of thanksgiving for her life will take place at St Peter's Church, Cleethorpes on Monday 6th February 2023 at 10.15am followed by interment at Scartho Cemetery. Anne is resting at Mashfords Funeral Home, Norfolk Lane Cleethorpes DN35 8BB where floral tributes will be received. All enquiries. Tel. 01472 200004.

Anne was an inspiration to me and I loved her dearly. We spent long hours at her pianos - she teaching me to play and us both setting the world to rights. From her, I learned to find the love and expression in each musical phrase and what can be achieved in the local music community with rigorous organisation and determination. She left no stone unturned to champion the young people she worked with, myself included. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
