Tom and I have been friends since 1972 when we both worked at the PODPS (now BT) in Maes-y-Coed Road computer centre. Having recently lived in London for 30 years, we might not see each other very often but we always sent cards at Christmas and birthdays. Tom was the sort of friend who would drop everything and be there if you needed help. This happened once when I was travelling down the A470 from Aberdare with a white van full of furniture and I realised my wife, Lynne (whom Tom called “the Boss”) and I couldn’t possible carry some of the heavier items into the new flat. I rang Tom for help and when I got to Victoria Wharf, Tom was already there. That is the kind of man Tom was. A great friend and I cannot get my head around the fact that he is no longer with us. Rest in peace my friend and every time I take a run on my Triumph motorbike I will think of you on your ‘Jubilee’ Triumph all those years ago. I have added a photo from 2005 when Tom came to our home in Ealing for one of our BBQs.
Lots of love Lynne & Neil Hammond

Tom, you were a good and kind friend for many years. We had great times at scout camps, or playing Mah Jong etc. Thank you for being a friend.
