David GeorgeHEARDHe passed away on 18th October 2024 in Munich. He is survived by his wife, son, two daughters, and five grandchildren.
Born 14th April 1939 to George and Mabel Heard in London. In August 1963 David joined the Abu Dhabi Petroleum Company as a petroleum engineer. In 1967 his wife, the historian Frauke Heard-Bey, joined him in Abu Dhabi. He dedicated the last twenty years of his life to documenting the history of the oil industry in the UAE. Abu Dhabi remained his home, and he had a love for North Wales and Bavaria.
A private service will be held at Nebo Chapel, Nebo, Nr Llanrwst, followed by Interment at Capel Garmon Churchyard.
