John DouglasHAYWARDSunset 22nd October 2024, aged 82 years.

It is with great sadness that the family of John announce his passing after a long illness borne with great dignity, at the Royal Derby Hospital with his family by his side.

Devoted husband of Jill for 59 years, very proud dad of Melanie and Rachel, father in law to Pete and James, and grand popee to Cooper and Bertie.

President of Trent Rowing Club, a member of Burton Rugby Football Club and Beatus Choir.

A Broadway Boy through and through.

Funeral Tuesday 26th November, service 11:30am at St Mary's Church, Rolleston, followed by a private family committal.

At the families request, please wear a splash of red.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of John may be made at the service.
