DouglasHAYESOf Merlin Drive, Oswaldtwistle, died unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday 22nd January 2024, aged 86 years.
Doug as he was fondly known to many, worked as an engineer for Gilbraith's British Leyland, with being very skilled at his profession, it became a job that took him working all over the world. He also worked for Seddon Atkinson's for a time too.
He sadly leaves behind his much loved wife Sandra, his only sister Margaret, his son Kevin and daughter Gillian and lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a dearly loved father in law, brother in law and uncle.
Doug will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.
His funeral service will be held at 10.00am on Thursday 8th February 2024, at Immanuel Parish Church, Oswaldtwistle, prior to interment at Accrington Cemetery.
