Mary Hay was our Aunt, and she was well loved. Cheryl and I came from Canada many times over the years to visit with Auntie, most recently this past September/October to celebrate with her, her 97th birthday. We looked after her many times when she needed help and support. As often as we could coming from Canada.
She visited us in Canada and spent time with her nieces and nephews in both Calgary and Vancouver.
Mary has a daughter Susan who has grandchildren and great grandchildren. They Iive in Wales and Canada. Aunt Mary also has family in Spain.
She was the matriarch of our family and the last of that generation. We spent many happy weeks and months with Auntie at her hoe on Parks Street in Mumbles by the sea. Auntie was so generous in sharing her home and friends when Cheryl came to Mumbles to attend the university of Swansea for a teaching assignment for 3 months.
We met her friends and neighbours and often shared Sunday dinner outings.
We are grateful to Brynfield Manor for all the care and concern that the Administrator and Staff gave her in the last years of her life. We miss her deeply.
