Sheila, I am so sorry I never heard about your passing. Only yesterday I Googled your name and Blairlogie and up came this tribute page. I missed your Christmas cards and email responses and knew the worst in my heart.
We spent so much time together when we attended St John’s Junior School in Nelson, Lancashire, playing in the back streets and parks and you were my friend for the longest time. I’m glad I visited you in Blairlogie and saw your lovely cottage you worked hard for. We laughed about how much we had changed and how we wouldn’t have recognised each other. You were the same forthright, straightforward, humorous and kind person I remember. I’m sorry we never managed to meet up when we were both in Sarasota at the same time. You were with your cousin (Brian?) and his wife and I know you were very fond of them. I’m guessing the heart problems you suffered a few years ago were responsible for your passing. I hope it was all swift and pain free. I will miss you despite our infrequent contact. Well played. You achieved many of your ambitions and more. Rest well. Love, Kath Adams (nee Lord) xx
