JohnGRIMSHAWIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Grimshaw, age 93 who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4 in Olive House Care Home, Bacup. John worked for Lambert Howarth, Rossendale as an Office manager until his retirement in 1992. He was a keen sportsman, playing cricket, table tennis and crown green bowling. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 29 years Beryl, his three children, Elaine, Beverley, Andrew and the late Carole. His stepdaughters Dawn, Wendy, and Debra, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also his two sisters Evelyn and Freda. John will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. His funeral is due to be held on Monday, July 24, when Rev John Prior will lead a service at Edgeside Baptist Church, Waterfoot, at 11am followed by a short service at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm.
