Jean ElizabethGREENWOODJean Elizabeth Rae was born on 29th June 1931 in Seaforth and Litherland, Merseyside and passed away unexpectedly on 28th February 2025. She was the youngest of 8 children - Janet, Lilian, George, Esther, Freda, Mary, Dolly and then Jean. She is survived by three children, Carole, Beverley and Peter, as well as grandchildren Simon, Christopher, Amy and Faye. Great grandchildren Aisha, Alfie, Freddie and Eva. Son-in-law Dwight, daughter-in-law Anne and with fond memories of her late son-in-law Mike.
Jean left school at the age of 14 to work at British American Tobacco. She later took a job at Littlewoods Call Centre in Crosby where she moved through the ranks to become a manager and valued employee until her retirement at 63.
Jean Elizabeth Rae and Philip Reginald Greenwood were married on 28th January 1956 and remained together until Phil's death in February 2024. Throughout her life, Jean was blessed with excellent health and despite becoming diabetic in her later years she received wonderful care from the Doctors and diabetes nurses in Formby.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 25th March 2025 at 11:15am at Thornton Crematorium.
