1st September 1953-17th April 2025.

It is with sadness that we anounce the passing of Colin Richard Graydon aged 71. Colin is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Ruth; his daughters Claire and Ruth Hannah; son-in law David; grandaughter Rebekah; brother Iain; brother-in-law Cameron; extended family and friends.

Colin was born in Glasgow. He was technically minded and excelled in anything automotive, he could fix, build and create engines. This was demonstrated in his early years and throughout his education at Jordanhill College School, and then at Springburn College of Engineering. Colin was always on hand to help out family and friends and even fixed his Head Masters car! He eventually went on to go into business with his father.

Colin became a Christian in his early adult life and faithfully attended Tamworth Baptist Church from 1984-2025. Colin married Ruth McPherson, in 1977 and they went on to have two daughthers; Claire and Ruth. Colin was delighted to be a grampa to Rebekah in 2017 and enjoyed playing with her and watching her grow up. Colin was an animal lover, in particular dogs, and gave to many charities over the years such as, The Dogs Trust, Scripture Union, Cancer Research, ifaw and education overseas.

There will be a Church service at Tamworth Baptist Church on Tuesday 29th April at 10:30am, followed by a burial at Wilnecote Cemetary at 11:30am. The funeral reception will be held at Planters Garden Center, Woodlands Farm, Trinity Rd, Tamworth B78 2EY from 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that donations be made to Christians Against Poverty.

Colin may be out of sight but remembered in our hearts.
